Mahatma Phule Samaj Seva Mandal (MPSSM) is a non- governmental voluntary organisation. It was established in 1982 by the initiative of local youth group of Pothare Village of Karmala taluka. Mr. Pramod Zinjade is the Chief Functionary and main Founder member of the organisation. MPSSM is working in four tehsils/ blocks of Solapur district since its inception. Over the period of time, the organisation has grown and today the main thrust is given on Area Development Programmes in which all the deprived sections of society are benefited. Initially, emphasis of MPSSM was on organising Employment Guarantee Schemes (EGS) for labourers to gain their lawful rights.

We are currently working in 15 districts of Maharashtra. We are covering issues like National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Hygiene and Sanitation, Village Libraries, Stopping Seasonal Migration of children, Education of migrant children and enable them to go to schools in their native villages, sustainable pre-primary education, advocacy with government, prohibition of child labour activities, etc.

Legal Status

MPSSM is registered as a trust and society. It can receive foreign contributions and also has an Income Tax 80 G certificate.
