Distribution of dry rations kits to labourers, poor families, and people who aren’t getting wages in the 2nd wave of Covid-19, to save them from starvation.

Project Area – Maharashtra (Entire)

Project duration – 3 Months

Beneficiary / Attention Group - Dalits, Tribal, Vagrants, Landless, widowed, sex workers and abandoned women, minority farmers and people below the poverty line.

Project Objectives -

• To distribute dry rations kits to poor families like Dalit, migrants etc. who do not have any wages in second wave of Covid-19. We have identified such total 1 Lac families (5 lac population).
• To restrict incidents like suicides.
• To provide them with a 1 Months dry ration kit.

Methodology (Nature of Distribution) –

• We (MPSSM) have a strong network of local NGOs in rural areas. We also have support from the local government and institutions of respective areas and location. For example: Corporations, Panchayat Raj, Police Department etc
• We will purchase dry rations kits from the local wholesaler/shopkeeper and our Local NGO partner will take the responsibility.
• In this way we will support the local wholesaler/shopkeeper as well.
• We will also collect name, address, photo and ID proofs like Aadhaar etc. from the end-beneficiary (we are intentionally avoiding the signature from end-beneficiary as a part of social distancing).
