Maharashtra Flood Response & Early Recovery Project

Supported by CARE India, Year - 2019-20

The aim of the project is relief to flood affected communities from the Kolhapur and Sangli districts of flood prone regions of Maharashtra have improved food security and better health conditions for early recovery.

The project area is 15 villages in Shirol block, Kolhapur district and 5 villages in Palus Block, Sangli District from Maharashtra.

Works done under this project:

  • Provide 6500 man days work in 11 villages.
  • Distribution of 2075 dry ration kits in 11 villages.
  • Awareness camp on  WASH issues in 20 villages.
  • Distribution of seeds kit to 200 farmers in 10 villages.
  • Distribution of 150 hygiene kits.
